Worker Melody Hendrick is currently leading a small team through one region of the world. She invites you to intercede for them in the following ways: Pray that their travel between different cities and countries will go as planned, not bringing any surprises, especially as they travel between countries that are not friendly with each other, which could be a potential issue for them. Ask for favor with immigration officers. Pray for daily safety and wisdom and for the Father to protect their team as they conduct their daily business. Also, ask that they will all be filled with the Holy Spirit daily, having wisdom and discernment. Pray for success in connecting with and communicating with Deaf communities; ask that they will connect well and deeply with new Deaf contacts and communities and that their visit will be productive for the purpose of collecting ethnographic data. Ask that they will communicate easily using sign language dialects that are new to them. Pray that their team will be strong and unified in Christ. Finally, please pray Colossians 3:23-24 over them, asking that they will work for the Father's glory, giving every day their best effort.

On Easter Sunday in southeastern Europe, George, a Deaf Serbian, celebrated his first Easter as a believer. He signed, "My coming to faith in Jesus has now made the holiday even more special for me. I celebrate not the holiday, but that He is my risen Lord and Savior. That's my reason to celebrate!" George is a full-time Bible translator with a Bible translation organization and works to translate a Bible story every week into Serbian Sign Language. He has the support of a great team of mentors. Paul wrote to Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV): "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." Pray that George will be a servant of God, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Holly, an intern who served with a Deaf team in Southeast Asia, recently returned to the United States. Worker Nellie Valjean shares: "Thanks for praying for Holly! She was such a blessing to our team--jumping straight in with soccer events, college ministry, and other team activities. She not only participated in our planned events, but also took the initiative to create opportunities to meet up and share with Deaf individuals. We are sad that she's gone but so thankful for her sacrifice and proud of the woman she's becoming." Pray for seeds that were planted during Holly's time in Southeast Asia. Ask the Father to send others to join the work among the Deaf around the world. Nellie adds: "You don't need to know sign language or be sporty or fit. The fields are ready, and the workers are few. Are you willing to come and work in the harvest?"

Worker Melody Hendrick is reaching the end of her term of service in Central Asia. Much of her last few months will be spent traveling and wrapping up life there. This means that a lot of her normal routines will soon be coming to a close, which is bittersweet. She is sad to soon be leaving all the beautiful people that she's grown to love and the full, beautiful life that the Lord has given her in her host city. She is soaking in all the moments and memories now and asks for your prayers as she walks through the end of this season. Praise God with her for the abundant life that He has given her in Central Asia! Though it's hard to leave, she has seen the Father's faithfulness and provision throughout her time of serving the Deaf community there. Pray for peace and trust in the Father's timing and ways, which are so much higher and better than ours.

Last month, you were asked to pray for a Deaf ministry team's efforts to set up a foundation and nonprofit business that will provide them more opportunities to serve the Deaf of their area in Southeast Asia. Workers Jon and Nellie Valjean report that they are still in the process and have had some amazing things happen. They share: "We would still like prayer for the rental building. It really seems like the perfect setup, location, and price. Pray that it doesn't get rented out from under us and that we will get all the paperwork we need to start renting soon! Thank you for joining us in prayer."
