Sub-Saharan African Peoples
West Africans in Paris, France

In June, a couple that has served in West Africa for many years will be making the move to Paris, France, from Senegal. This is encouraging news, as it will allow the current team member in Paris to have co-laborers for the gospel there in France. Pray that this couple will be able to get all the needed paperwork for this move and be able to settle well in a new country. Continue to intercede for the work among Sub-Saharan African peoples in Paris. Doors are opening to allow partnerships with local churches to help with ministry. Especially pray for a relationship that is developing with a French-Arabic church. Ask that the gospel will stay central to every relationship, every conversation, and every vision to reach the city with the good news of Jesus.

Students & Young Professionals, Seoul, South Korea

A young professional named Wally recently began attending the language exchange program hosted by Sinchon Tree Church and has been enjoying practicing English and making new friends. Just a couple of weeks later, a new Journeyman missionary came to Seoul and began attending the language exchange program as well. After the program, Wally shared with the Journeyman that his whole family is Christian and that he is the only one who is not. He has questions about Christianity, but asking his family members has proven difficult. The Journeyman was able to explain that it is his job to talk about God and that he would be happy to answer any questions that Wally might have. They exchanged contact information with plans to chat more later. Please pray that Wally will have the courage to ask questions, that his heart will be prepared for the answers he receives, and that the Journeyman will have wisdom in answering. Pray that, through spending time with the Journeyman and other church members, Wally will experience the love of Christ and come to a point of committing his life to Him soon.

In her spirit, Lydia feels torn. She loves her husband, Amir, but they do not share the same faith. She is attending a church, and when she reached out to her pastor, they talked through whether her marriage was truly legal or not. Amir and Lydia were married in a Muslim mosque, but they never had any kind of formal marriage license. According to the law, they are not legally married. Lydia feels torn because Amir is not a believer; she feels unevenly yoked. They have chosen to separate. Her heart aches for him to repent and believe in the Son. She desires restoration and healing, and she longs for her child to be raised in a believing home. Please pray for Lydia as she seeks the Father's will, looks for a new job, and raises her child alone. Pray for her faith to grow strong. Lift up Amir, asking that he will encounter the love of Jesus and follow Him. Please pray for healing, for restoration, and for Jesus to be glorified even in this difficult situation.

(SIN-dees) - Please pray for a potential new church in an interior region. There are a group of believers there who want to meet but don't really know how to begin. Some mature believers have a desire to come alongside to help establish this new group as a church.

Melting Cities, East Asia

Sad news is coming from one of East Asia's melting cities. Children of an ethnic minority are being forcibly separated from their families and living as orphans. Separated from their families, they are kept under full guard and control by the authorities in orphanages and boarding schools for brainwashing and assimilation into the majority people's culture. Please pray for the salvation of these children's souls, their freedom of life, and a hopeful future life.

Maputo, Mozambique: Capital City and Province

(mah-POO-too) - "But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil" (Hebrews 5:14 ESV). In the heart of the city, there are a few seminaries. One Southern Mozambique Team member has the opportunity to teach weekly classes at a small Baptist seminary there whose students come from other parts of the country and are eager to practice what they are learning when they return home. Please pray for this missionary to be diligent in teaching and for the students who are so thirsty for truth and learning to properly apply what they are learning. Ask for these students to grow in their walk and maturity in Christ, be discerning when applying God's truth to the culture around them, and grow in their affection toward their Savior. As the semester draws to a close, pray that these leaders will not grow weary, but instead be encouraged by what they have learned and how God can build on His truths in their lives. Pray for the fire in their hearts, spurred on by the Holy Spirit, to spread as they teach and train others throughout the country.

Highland People of the Horn of Africa

In April, you were asked to pray for Moussa, a believer from a Muslim background. As he was studying and memorizing the Quran, he was also reading the Bible. He wanted to be able to refute what his believing friends said about Jesus, but as he read the Bible, God opened his eyes to the truth, and he believed and chose to follow Jesus. Then, as a young man, Moussa married, and he and his wife, also a Muslim-background believer, began their family. Eventually, the persecution in their village became too great, and they fled to another town. Even amid this persecution, Moussa and his wife continue to share with others. Just as he was discipled and trained, he and his wife are now training other Muslim-background followers of Jesus. Thank God for this home that is founded on a common belief in Jesus! Pray for Moussa and his wife as they train others. Pray for a great harvest to come among the Highland People of the Horn of Africa.

Students in their senior year of high school are diligently making their final preparations for the college entrance exam. This test sets the course for their future, and this will likely be their only opportunity to take the test. The pressure for the students to do well is incredibly great. Please pray for these students and their families, asking that they will know the omniscient Father who loves them. Please pray that they will know that their worth is not based on a test score but on His love for them as people created in His image. Please pray that they will be told and believe that Jesus loves them so much that He died for them.
