Peoples of the Dhundhar Region, Rajasthan, India

(dhoon-DHAR) - Please pray for brothers and sisters in Christ residing in the state of Rajasthan in northwestern India. In the past few months, there has been a sharp rise in the persecution of Christians, particularly the arrest and questioning of pastors across a number of districts (counties). Many of the pastors who have been arrested lead house churches and are influential in the expansion of the gospel across the state. Pray for perseverance and boldness and for the love of Christ to shine through believers as they care for one another during this challenging time. Pray that the Hindu groups involved in instigating arrests and the disruption of worship will have the opportunity to hear the true gospel and will come to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ! Pray for a major spiritual transformation across the entire state of Rajasthan.

"This year, our team will continue our efforts to distribute blankets and share the gospel. In partnership with 15 Baptist churches in northern Thailand, we aim to distribute 4,000 blankets among 30 villages in December. Each of these villages is a targeted site for evangelism and church planting. Please pray for those receiving the blankets to have open hearts and ears to hear and receive the gospel message. Please pray for wisdom for the churches as they prepare and deliver the gospel message and individual testimonies."

Muslims of Delhi, India

(DEL-ee) - Brothers and sisters in Christ are following up with the men, women, and children who received care during a medical camp that was held in October. Please continue to pray for these follow-ups, and pray also for follow-ups happening with individuals who have responded with interest to a recent social media ad. This ad shared the testimony of a man who was previously Muslim but is now following Jesus. Ask God to be softening the hearts of those who have heard or will hear in the coming weeks so that many will believe.

A few years ago, Abraham moved from the countryside to the city for work. While there, he heard the good news and trusted in Jesus. It has been a slow process, but Abraham is growing in his faith. He reads the Bible regularly and has started to understand that there are many issues within the Orthodox church in which he has grown up, the biggest ones being that most of the priests do not know the Bible or believe that Jesus is the only way to the Father. Even though Abraham is in his mid-twenties, he is still in high school. He goes back to the countryside two or three times per year to take care of the land that he inherited. Abraham recently found out that his current job will be ending soon, and he is worried about the future. Please ask God to give him wisdom as he makes decisions about whether to stay in the city and finish school or go back to the countryside. Ask God to provide for his physical and spiritual needs, and pray that no matter where he goes, he will continue to grow and be a light to those around him.

Sub-Saharan African Peoples
Mombasa City, Kenya

(mahm-BAH-suh) - "In December, many Africans take a break from work and school. During this time, many visit their family homes in other parts of the country in which they live," workers write. "Please pray for all the travel that will take place in the month of December as our friends and neighbors make these trips. Some of our co-workers in Mombasa will be traveling themselves to see their son get married. Join them in thanking God for blessing their family with a godly woman who loves the Lord and their son. Remember them in prayer as they also travel most of the month of December."

There is a local fellowship whose leader is overworked, and he has been trying to encourage people to serve. One person decided to start a Bible study that would encourage young men to take on leadership responsibilities. The study will run through the end of December. Pray that the study will be well received and effective and that men will step up and help. Someone will be needed to take over an administrative responsibility at the end of December (along with other work within the fellowship), so please pray specifically that the Lord will raise up that individual. "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace" (1 Peter 4:10 ESV).

(ma-COW) - Holidays give an open door for people to host celebrations and invite people to events. As a local church reaches out to international students by having a Christmas party, pray that many will attend and that those who are far from God will be brought to saving faith as the Christmas story and the gospel are shared.

Displaced Indigenous of Bogota, Colombia

(boh-guh-TAH) - Please continue praying for the outreach to indigenous university students in Bogota. This month, the students are hearing Bible stories about the life of Jesus. Most of the students are not believers. Ask the Holy Spirit to convict them of their lostness and need for a Savior. Pray that the ministry team will be wise when answering questions and objections to the gospel message. Pray for the formation of discipleship groups for those who want to follow Jesus.

Deaf Peoples

The gift of salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ is open to everyone, but local residents in West Africa who accept, believe, and trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior may undergo severe persecution and rejection by family, friends, co-workers, and community leaders. Mamadou is a Deaf local believer who teaches at a Deaf school. He is an amazing role model for the students and is making an impact upon their future education. Please pray that the Lord will continue to give him strength, courage, and perseverance in the ministry, and ask that Mamadou will not be hindered in his calling to serve the Deaf community.

"The Sino-Mongol people are scattered throughout the world, yet none of them are forgotten by the God who planned where we will all live. Pray that as Christmas activities are planned, the Sino-Mongol people will have the opportunity to hear of the Christ-child who was born to die so that we might know the very God in whose image we are made and be brought back into right relationship with Him through the death and resurrection of Jesus."
