(yoh-kuh-HAH-muh) - Join us in praising God for the miraculous work He is doing in the hearts of the Japanese! Many unchurched Japanese people came to Christmas outreaches at a local church. One family has committed to coming to church in the new year. The father said he fell away from the faith of his youth. Pray for this young father as he learns to walk with the Lord and lead his family to Christ. Also, ask the Lord to bless game nights with a group of young men. As missionaries incorporate a Bible study into this time, pray that the men will respond to God's Word.
(WEE-wah) - "Please lift up a Christian leader and his family as they continue to struggle with financial and health challenges. Pray for the Lord's provision. Ask that they will seek the Lord's wisdom in these situations and be obedient as He guides them. Pray that our Valledupar Team will know how best to encourage them during this difficult time."
(VIN-took) - This is the 12th year that New Song Family Church in Windhoek will enter into a time of fasting and praying throughout the month of February. Over the years, the church has witnessed new believers coming to Jesus, miracles, spiritual strongholds broken, victories over sin, restoration of relationships, financial provisions, and many more answers to prayer. It's exciting to think about all that God wants to pour out on a nation that is covered in prayer! Please join these believers in prayer as they fervently seek God and discover His love, forgiveness, grace, mercy, provision, and freedom in ways they've never experienced email@example.com
Join the Central Taiwan Team in prayer as they lead the first 1-2-3 Next Generation training in early February. This training focuses on theology, discipleship, evangelism, and church planting. It's a two-year commitment and a partnership between local churches and IMB missionaries to train up young people to lead the next generation. Pray for these new students to work diligently in the training and to give their heart and mind to growing in their walk with Jesus. Pray that these young leaders will build healthy relationships with the trainers and that God will use them to build His kingdom in Taiwan.firstname.lastname@example.org
February and March are bitterly cold months in northern Africa. Families who can't afford to heat their whole house will live in just one room, heating it with a space heater to keep warm. Bedouins and refugees living in tents will add layers of thick plastic over them to keep out the cold wind and the rain or snow. Please pray that these shivering people will have their needs met. Pray that they will listen to stories of Jesus through their cell phones and discuss them with others, and ask that they will meet those who love Jesus and learn about eternal life. In contrast, February and March are pleasant months on the Arabian Peninsula, and the weather is perfect for walks in the park and strolls along the beach. Families go on picnics and spend lots of time outside. Pray that these people will meet followers of Jesus on their walks or while sitting in the parks. Ask that they will hear the stories of Jesus as they talk together and be drawn to Him. Pray for their salvation.
Eli and Samuel are brothers with one European parent and one parent from the Nomadic People who is Muslim. They have a strong faith in Jesus and regularly share the good news using social media and a video-sharing website. This month, they returned to the Horn of Africa to prayerwalk in person despite the danger of persecution. Pray for continued protection and ask that their bold witness will bear much fruit.
(li-LONG-way) - "Last month, you were asked to pray for the cholera outbreak in Malawi. Please keep lifting up this situation! Cases of cholera continue to rise due to poor water management and sanitation, along with heavy and consistent rains. As the cases rise, government hospitals run out of beds and medicine to treat these patients. The mortuaries across the country are completely full. Funerals must be expedited in order to make room. This is truly heart-wrenching. Our Malawi Team has recently worked with Send Relief, in cooperation with the Baptist Convention of Malawi, to get more cholera medicine purchased and delivered. Please keep praying for Malawi!"email@example.com
Thank you for your prayers last August for the new Friday brunch ministry among an unreached people group. Workers started this evangelistic ministry to engage seekers who are reluctant to attend a church service. Join them in praying that more nonbelievers will go to the brunch and that the believers will share their testimony during the meal and conversation time. Pray that those who hear the gospel will believe and follow Jesus. Please keep praying for God's guidance on this new ministry as workers continue looking for effective ways to share the gospel with this people group. Thank you for praying.
Emma, raised in a West African Muslim hearing family, was often misunderstood and mistreated as a Deaf child. After joining the Jehovah Witnesses, her father beat her for leaving Islam. Emma began engaging Deaf students at the Deaf school where she worked. She met workers who shared the gospel with her, and the stories resonated as coming directly from Scripture. She signed, "Now, this is truth! I know it! I want to know how things got started and how we got here!" They shared stories of "Creation to Christ." In Emma's mind, things were settled: "That's truth! I just know it! I will follow Jesus!" She confessed Christ and invited everyone from her Deaf network, including unbelievers, to her baptism. She publicly declared her faith in Christ, encouraging others to follow Him. This bold witness for Christ is now being equipped with Bible stories in the local sign language. Still facing her father's beatings, Emma won't back away from her newfound faith and the Savior who leads her to share the gospel with the Deaf. Pray for her as she adds new Bible stories and expands her understanding of the need to take the gospel to the ends of the earth.
(BANG-ah-lohr) - Nursing students are being trained in a leadership development initiative to become cross-cultural workers equipped to meet both physical and spiritual needs. An Indian leader is needed to direct this program. The person should be able to administer the program and also be engaged in doing some of the teaching. Pray that the individual God has chosen and called can be identified and prepared to assume this responsibility. Pray that students involved in the program will grow spiritually and professionally.
