In November, workers asked you to pray for a believer who was participating in an online discipleship group and then sharing what he was learning with others. The workers write: "Please keep Brother Nadeem in your prayers, as his small group is growing very fast. Ask the Lord to provide mentorship for Nadeem as he disciples others. Pray that many of our 'virtual disciples' will meet in-person for follow-up and community with believers in the place where they live."

(ru-ME-lee-an) - "The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18 ESV). Pray for Rumelian Turks of the Balkans who are carrying heavy emotional burdens of grief, regret, worry, or broken relationships. Pray that they will cry out boldly to God, who hears the cry of the downcast and hopeless.

Please pray for the Yopera people. As far as is known, they do not have a healthy church among them. There is one believing man, and no mature believers. They frequent the city and listen to stories about God's Son, Jesus, and then they go back to their homes for long periods of time. Please pray for believers in the city to know how best to reach them with the gospel, and pray for the hearts of the Yopera people to be open to believe in Jesus.

"Have you ever been lost in the dark? That was the situation of a Muslim couple in the village community where we did evangelism," writes an Islands Team member. "This couple, obviously high in social status, lived in a beautiful brick house and had a large, luscious garden and three small children. The husband was proud of his material blessings and the fact that he was a respected Muslim in the community. When asked, he allowed us to share the plan of salvation, but he struggled to understand why he needed a Savior. The wife, who was quiet during most of the discussion, said at the end: "I know that I am lost, and I need Jesus now!" We prayed with her, and it was clear that she had been listening well and understood her need for salvation. Please pray for this woman who boldly recognized her need for Christ in the presence of her unbelieving husband. Ask that she will be a light in the darkness of her home and Muslim community, and pray that her husband's heart will also become receptive."

Pray for the work in the Northern Province of Zambia. Ask God to raise up men and women whose hearts belong to Him and who desire to see the gospel spread throughout northern Zambia.

Leaders competing for power and ethnic groups at great odds with one another are causing conflict in multiple countries across the desert lands of northern African. Local citizens are caught in the civil unrest. Prices of basic provisions and food are skyrocketing. Many are displaced from their homes. It all seems very hopeless. The problems are complex, involving historical disagreements, family feuds, and complicated economic issues. What can be done? You can pray. Pray for determined leaders to be willing to come to the table and discuss their differences. Pray for them to consider the welfare of their countries' citizens. Pray for the basic infrastructure of communication, transportation, electricity, water, and healthcare to be reestablished. Pray for economic recovery. Pray for families to be able to return home. Pray for peace. "O God, hear my prayer; give ear to the words of my mouth" (Psalm 54:2 ESV).

(kuh-MY) - Praise the Lord for three young men—a college student, a high school student, and a middle school student who were recently baptized! They had prayed to receive Christ as Savior a while ago, and when they learned about baptism, they wanted to follow through with their obedience to Christ's command. Please pray that they will continue to grow in their faith walk with Jesus and share the gospel with their family and friends.

(ma-COW) - As small groups of Christians go out to distribute gospel tracts and look for people who are open to hearing about Jesus, pray that the Lord will bring into their pathway those who are open to hear about the things of God. Pray also that these opened-eared people will see and be broken for their sin. Pray they will have a desire to turn to the God who can save them from all their sins.

Please pray for the leaders of a small church plant in Copenhagen, as they seek to make disciples in a very challenging and dark culture. Pray for encouragement and endurance as they seek to build up new and unchurched believers and come against much apathy and confusion regarding faithful Christianity. Pray that they will remember that their labors in the Lord are not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58) and that salvation belongs to the Lord (Jonah 2:9).

Ibrahim trains many leaders of house groups in how to follow the Lord Jesus. He has seen breakthroughs, with some groups of new believers being baptized. Many new believers come from the Orthodox church and were baptized as babies; because of that, most new believers don't see the need to be baptized again. However, through Ibrahim's and the small group leaders' faithful discipleship, house groups in a few villages are obeying and are following Jesus' example and teaching regarding baptism. Praise God! Please pray for more Orthodox-background believers to accept this teaching and be baptized. Pray for the leaders of house groups to teach their people about the need to obey Jesus' command to "go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19 ESV).

(ben-GAH-lee) - Some mature believers are seeking partnerships with local fellowships and pastors to train them in how to share the gospel with the Muslims around them. Pray for such partnerships to be established, and ask for these partners and local pastors to catch God's vision for all people to hear the gospel, including Muslim peoples.

(uh-WAH-dee) - God has been providing many new opportunities for growth in the fruitful plains of the Awadhi belt. One group of shepherds who have started receiving training have begun 20 local-level trainings among their co-workers and other believers. These believers have shared with 1,525 people in the first month, of whom 365 have accepted Christ and started to follow Him. Praise God! The trainers are working to raise up a leader in that group to coach and oversee other leaders in the group as they grow in their knowledge of the Word and faithfulness to the Lord. Please pray for healthy believers, churches, and leaders to be raised up from among these new professions of faith, and pray that their testimonies will ignite a flame that burns brightly in the darkness.
