(SWAH-zee) - Sisela, an elderly Swazi woman in Eswatini, told her story: "I accepted the Lord in October 1994. Before I was a Christian, I didn't know I was a sinner. I thought I was perfect. The Baptist missionaries who came to Eswatini helped me change. Through their teaching, I came to know I needed Jesus to change me. I asked Him for forgiveness of my sins. Before the Baptists, I never had a person talk to me about Jesus or ask me if I was a Christian." Pray that all Swazis will have a chance to hear about Jesus so they might believe in Him and be saved, along with the rest of their family. "And they said, 'Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household'" (Acts 16:31 ESV).
http://www.imb.org/sub-saharan-africa/ donna.j.fort@gmail.com(KAHN-kin) - Pray for a group of women in the village of "K-pada" who have been meeting together for Bible study. Intercede for consistency in their study of the Word. Pray that the area in which they live will be full of peace, as many men there struggle with alcoholism. Pray for these women and their families to reflect the Prince of Peace in their daily lives and as they share the good news with friends and neighbors in "K-pada."
Nila has now been living in her new country for a handful of years, after finally being able to join her husband, who had arrived earlier. A mother of young children, she has made a number of friends this past year after starting to attend a weekly women's gathering. This gathering not only gives her opportunities to better her language skills, but also to learn about things that she had only a vague understanding of before. She asked one believing friend if they could read the Bible together and was very excited when this friend found a copy in Nila's native language that she could have! They have continued to meet weekly, even during a special month-long holiday, because Nila doesn't want to miss a single opportunity to hear more about God's love. Pray for Nila and her desire to know and understand more. As she and her friend read together, pray that Nila's eyes and heart will be open to the truth found in those pages. Pray that her husband will also develop a similar interest and that this reading may be something they pursue together in the future.
(ny-ROH-bee) - All around Nairobi, opportunities abound to impact lostness and make disciples. One Sunday afternoon, a pastor in Nairobi invited his church to come for a training to understand the gospel and practice tools for evangelism. A few months later, the pastor called a worker on the Nairobi City Team because they needed more help! A group was faithfully sharing the gospel and people were getting saved, but after salvation, the group didn't know how to go about discipling them. The worker joined the pastor in a second training, this time giving the participants practical tools for disciple making based on Paul's model in 2 Timothy 2:2. Today, the church members continue to live in obedience and put into practice what they learned. Give thanks to the Lord for this pastor and his church who are faithfully sharing the gospel and making disciples! Pray that more churches in Nairobi will see the God-given opportunities to be intentional about making the most of every opportunity to share the gospel and make disciples. Pray that the church will have a vision to develop leaders that they can send to new fields to make disciples of all nations, peoples, and languages.
http://www.imb.org/sub-saharan-africa/Please pray for Rinovo Church, a local congregation. They are trying to walk through many difficult religious laws. During the upcoming months, they will need to get many approvals from different entities, which will be difficult. Please ask the Father to give them favor with local officials and also give the leaders wisdom in knowing how best to proceed (James 1:5). They are also working through helping the congregation know how to follow God's calling into service and ministry (Ephesians 2:10). Pray that the Spirit will move and that this body of believers will fulfill their places in God's plan.
centralasianpeoples@protonmail.com(MEE-boh) - Believers write, "In 2021 we told you about Hanna; how she accepted Christ and was baptized; then discovered she had cancer. God has been with her all the way. She was able to attend Bible training for lay people, and she will graduate in May. Her health has been sustained by the Love of Jesus. However, the doctors tell her to enjoy life to the fullest because these days could be her last. It seems God has provided a special relationship for Hanna. Harold remembers Hanna from grade school, but they never really connected on a heart level until recently. Harold accepted Christ recently and asked Hanna to marry him, knowing fully that this marriage is being laid in the hand of God, whether for a few weeks or for years to come. Harold and Hanna are in their 40s, and they started remarriage counseling last month. Please pray for God's will in their lives."
pray4APAC@imb.orgPray for Brother Raj. This blind man is a follower of Jesus and is actively telling his faith story, which is leading to new followers and fellowships. Praise the Lord that Brother Raj has been able to introduce many blind people to the Light, resulting in the transformation of their lives and replacing sadness with joy!
The numbers of people forcibly displaced from their homes are ever increasing. These people leave because of war, economics, or natural disasters, among other things. Their health needs range from a lack of basic supplies to control of communicable disease to processing the trauma related to their fleeing. There are opportunities for field workers to assist in meeting the needs of the forcibly displaced, so ask the Lord to send out His prepared healthcare providers to meet these needs and introduce the forcibly displaced to the true source of security and peace.
www.imb.org/healthcare healthcare@imb.org(foo-koo-OH-kah) - Pray for Christian leaders of Seinan Jo Gakuin, a partner in the work for His Kingdom. Please pray for wisdom, strength, and boldness to continue to share the gospel with students and staff. Because the school will be celebrating its 103rd anniversary this month and the new semester starts this month, students will hear God's Word and prayers in Jesus' name during special ceremonies. Pray for their hearts to be soft to Jesus, the Savior. Pray that they will understand their need for Him. Pray for students who have been participating in the English Cafe ministry and the Cultural Exchange Program. Pray that the missionaries and school leaders who work together on these ministries will continue to seek the Lord together. Pray that the Father will draw all the students to Jesus Christ.
pray4APAC@imb.orgIt is exam time! Students and families in China will nervously go to the testing center to take the College Entrance Exam. The score will determine whether or not the student will attend university and which university and career path the student is eligible for in the future. Parents and caregivers stand outside, anxiously waiting. Ask God to give students and parents hope and peace in place of anxiety and fear. Pray for Christian families and the Church to demonstrate trusting Christ in difficult times as Colossians 3:15 (CSB) says: "And let the peace of Christ, to which you were also called in one body, rule your hearts. And be thankful."
