Peoples of the Konkan Coast, India

(KAHN-kin) - The Chitrakathi people tell stories with string puppets and hand puppets. There are no known believers or churches among this people group. Pray that the true stories of the Bible will penetrate their hearts and minds, and ask that the gospel will draw them to a relationship with Jesus.

(n-SANG-uh) - Last month, a few pastors from the Nsenga people group graduated from Bible School. Please pray for these new graduates as they use the knowledge that they've acquired. Pray for them to have wisdom and a reliance on God as they use the new tools that they've learned to lead their congregations.

North African and Middle Eastern Peoples
North Africans/Middle Easterners, Northern France

There was a man who had open wounds on his face and hand. As he walked in front of some believers, they offered him coffee and cake and shared with him the Word of the Lord. Ali explained that he had fallen that morning and would like to have a free coffee. Along with the coffee, a believer walked him to a pharmacy across the street and bought him a small session with the pharmacist to patch him up. The believer sent him home with more antiseptic and bandages and was able to hear his story along the way. Ali had just moved to France and was trying to learn French in school so that he could get a job. When asked if he had heard of Jesus, Ali responded that he had, of course, but that Jesus was just a prophet and never died. The believer shared a testimony of what Jesus had done in his life. But Ali responded that he would not believe such a statement about Jesus unless God spoke to him. Pray that the Father will indeed speak to Ali and that his heart will trust in Jesus.

American Peoples
Mixtecs of Guerrero, Mexico

(MEEKS-teks, geh-REH-roh) - "Thank you for praying for the new church in the Mixtec community. As the new year brings forth new beginnings, pray that this new church with newly appointed leaders will begin to grasp the idea of planting more new churches in surrounding villages. One church member is from a small village about an hour away. The entire village consists of his family, and the main witch doctor there has expressed an interest in learning about Jesus. Please pray that this entire community will be saved and that the church here will play a major role in spreading the gospel to that place and many more."

Missionary Explorers, Project 3000

"We will be very close to the country's border, meaning there will be a higher military presence and possible checkpoints," missionary explorer Maggie Paige said. "Please pray that my national ministry partner and I will be confident and calm, and pray that we will trust the Holy Spirit to give us the words we ought to say if we are questioned."

Global Missionary Partners, Asia-Pacific Rim

Bobby and Sophie are new global missionary partners (GMP) who have recently arrived in their new country of service in the Asia-Pacific Rim. They and their children are figuring out how to thrive in this new place with new language and culture. They also need to figure out teaming dynamics with a largely American team. Along with language learning, their older child is doing some homeschooling to maintain his native reading and writing skills. Bobby writes: "We are in the challenges of learning the language. Life is always in a hurry. Please pray for our time and energy management, health, and strength for the family." Ask God to give this family the blessing of learning quickly so that they will soon be able to fully serve with their team. Pray that the team will work well together, for the glory of His name. Pray that the impact on their community will be everlasting. "All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name (Psalm 66:4 ESV).

Sub-Saharan African Peoples
Conakry, Guinea

(KON-ah-kree) - Charlotte, a young student at a university in Conakry, Guinea, began attending one of the Baptist churches in the city a few years ago with her mother. When Madison, a worker, met Charlotte, they quickly became friends, and Madison began spending time weekly with her, discipling her and studying God's Word together with her. They quickly became both friends and ministry partners and have even been serving in the church together by leading the children's Sunday School time. It was evident from the start that Charlotte has a heart for her country, a heart to see her fellow classmates come to know Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. Even though she is a minority on her campus that is roughly 90% Muslim, she has remained bold and has begun a Bible study with others on campus. Give thanks to God for her boldness and courage to share her faith with others! Charlotte still needs a Guinean partner who will help her in this ministry. Pray that Charlotte will remain steadfast and that others will step up to help her so she isn't alone, especially when Madison leaves in June.

Asian Pacific Rim Peoples

"There are many edges of lostness throughout our region," workers said. "These are the pockets of areas that are very difficult to reach because the transportation access is rugged and treacherous. People in these areas are unreached and unengaged with the gospel, sometimes simply due to the challenges involved in getting to get to them. Praise the Lord for individuals and teams who are embracing the challenge of going to the people who live in remote areas so that they may share Christ with them. Please pray for their spiritual and physical protection from harm's way so that people groups living in hard-to-reach areas might have the opportunity to hear about the Lord Jesus Christ and His salvation for the first time in."
