Swazi of Eswatini

(SWAH-zee) - "Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation" (Psalm 68:5 ESV). The life of a Swazi woman can be very difficult. Relationships are hard to maintain in a culture that allows men to have more than one wife, various relationships outside of marriage, and children from different mothers without offering financial or emotional support. Pray for Swazi women who live in a society that does not show respect for women. Pray that Swazis will learn what God expects of the marriage relationship between a man and a woman and commit to follow those biblical standards.

South Asians in Africa

Holi, the "Festival of Colors," was celebrated by Hindus in mid-March, including those living in Africa. Workers were intentional about taking that opportunity to go out and carry the message of hope to the South Asian Hindus around them, both neighbors and strangers alike. Pray for the hearts of those who heard the good news to soften to the real truth. "Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life'" (John 8:12 ESV). Pray that the true Light will shine upon them.

Missionary Explorers, Project 3000

"I am filled with joy to share that after half a day of travel, we successfully located our target people group and were warmly welcomed to document and research this unengaged, unreached people group (UUPG) for the very first time!" missionary explorer D.G. Anthony said. "We also recorded the first believer among this group! Please pray that the Lord will use him powerfully for His kingdom! Continue to pray for this UUPG, asking God to send more laborers to them and for this Buddhist group to be embraced into the family of Christ!"

Hungarians of Hungary

A team member requests prayer for a young man who loves to talk about his life and spirituality when she visits the coffee shop where he works. He has a Bible he wants to start reading and is seeking wisdom for his life. Pray that gospel sharing will continue, and that the young man will open up God's Word and find not just wisdom, but also "the way, and the truth, and the life" (John 14:6).

Hong Kong and Macau, China

(ma-COW) - Local believers are concerned that their churches do not have enough young people to step into leadership roles that are currently occupied by aging leaders. Pray for God to save large numbers of young people in the months and years ahead. Ask Him to call many of them into full-time ministry, with willing hearts to be trained and raised up for church leadership. Pray that this cycle of training and service will be perpetual, with each generation having more and more workers called out for His kingdom's advancement.

(LEE-muh) - The Lima Global City Team writes: "Pray for us and our Peruvian partners as we develop a ministry to abused women and children. Pray that this ministry will provide hope and lead to new churches being planted in areas where there are none."

Dakar, Senegal

(dah-KAR) - An outreach event will take place in a new area of ministry in Senegal. Workers and members of a local church in Dakar will be traveling to the ministry area. The daytime activities will include evangelism and distributing invitations to see a film later that evening. The film is in the local language and gives a clear gospel presentation. Please intercede for all aspects of this outreach. Pray for God's wisdom in the planning process: where to send the teams who will go out in twos or threes. Pray for the logistics of travel and for safety. Lift up each person who will participate, and ask for clear, bold, and wise presentations of the gospel. Pray for the hearts of the people who will hear the good news to be "good soil" (Matthew 13:23 ESV). Ask that many will express an interest in learning more and that many will be convicted of their sin and believe and receive Christ with boldness and a sincere heart and saving faith. Pray that those who are given the gift of faith will surrender to baptism that day or the next. "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations . . . " (Matthew 28:19 ESV).

Cross-Cultural Missions, East Asia

"Please pray for our coworkers, Brother Ant and his family in East Asia. They are committed to the unreached people groups residing in the most remote places in their area. Brother Ant and his entire family regularly visit these people groups to build strong relationships in order to earn their trust so that they can open up new opportunities for sharing the gospel with the ethnic minorities who have never heard of the name of Jesus. They have been doing this ministry for the last 10 years, and God has used the family in amazing ways. Pray that God will continually protect them and enable them to be an effective witness."

Many Muslims believe that making a pilgrimage each year to a particular historic site will please Allah. This year, believers will also gather there to engage with these spiritually open people. Pray for the believers to have favor with the authorities and to encounter people with open hearts as they speak with them.

Please pray for wisdom for the Bangkok team with coordinating events that will draw Thais in, and pray that their hearts will be open to receiving the gospel."

Arab Gulf Shia

(SHEE-ah) - After seeing a game board in a coffee shop that looked similar to a popular board game that he had played as a boy, a believer asked a man sitting at the next table how to play. In true Arab hospitality, the man immediately stopped what he was doing to explain how the game was played. They decided to give it a try, and throughout their time of playing, conversation continued to flow. The believer ended up asking him what the most important thing was in his life. After a moment of careful reflection, the man answered, "Truthfulness." Pray for this Arab man to encounter the truthfulness of God's Word. Pray that the Spirit of truth will come to "guide [him] into all truth" (John 16:13 NKJV), which is found in Christ Jesus.

Afar of Northern Africa

(AH-far) - As Afar believers grow in their understanding of God's Word, they also consider how it impacts every aspect of their lives. After all, God's Word provides this instruction: "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves" (James 1:22 ESV). Give thanks to the Lord for mature believers who walk alongside newer believers to help them understand the Bible and live in faith and obedience! In these discipleship relationships, believers can listen to God's Word, discuss it together, and observe it applied. What does it mean to live a Christlike life? How should believers interact with strangers, acquaintances, and friends? How can they resolve conflicts in a godly way? How can they steward their time, money, and other resources (such as livestock or land) to honor God? What does it look like to care for a spouse, children, and extended family members in Christian love? Pray for Afar believers to grow in faith and obedience by listening to the Word and doing what it says. Pray for mature believers to have wisdom, boldness, and opportunities to disciple other Afar believers.
