(bask) - Please pray for upcoming baptisms. Pray for hearts to make decisions to follow Christ, taking the narrow path, and follow up in baptism. Pray for people in northern Spain to become disciples who make disciples.
http://www.ateajo.com/"Pray for revival among believers in Africa, the house of the Lord. May our Lord remove our hardened hearts and give us each a new heart--a heart that has compassion on our lost neighbors, the Hindus and the Muslims all around us. Grant us a repentant heart, Lord! Only then we can see the lostness through Your eyes and understand the urgency to reach out to them."
Please pray for a group of refugees that are not attending church. Please pray that they will resist the temptations of the world and choose to follow Jesus. They are young people, and there are a lot of distractions and temptations that are negatively impacting their walk with God. Please pray they will turn from the sins that are pulling them away from Jesus. Pray for God's protection and strength so these young people can begin anew and grow in their faith. Please pray for God to raise up committed believers among them who will mature and emerge as leaders in their community so they can support and encourage each other in the faith.
eastasiaprayer@pobox.com(soo-MAH-trah) - In August you prayed for Rita who makes a living by digging through the dump for recycling. She heard the gospel and said she believed. Since then, believers have been meeting with Rita to study the Word. They are thrilled to report that recently Rita is ready to be baptized! While digging through trash one day, Rita heard about Jesus and received the greatest treasure! She faithfully invites friends to listen to the stories she is learning. Please pray for more people in Rita's community to hear and believe.
Please pray for churches in an area of 1 million people, where most pastors are aging. Pray that these pastors will effectively disciple the right men to become their successors when they need to step down. Many pastors haven't stepped down yet because they have not discipled anyone to replace them. Pray for broad leadership development across all areas of ministry. Ask that the Holy Spirit will call out new leaders for the Church. Amen.
www.imb.org/give/project/coastal-state-team/ seainbox@proton.me(WUH-dye) - One of the established fellowships of local believers in the region has just added a well to their property. Pray that this water point will draw many from the community to their doors. Ask that they will be generous and wise with this resource as they bless their neighbors. Give thanks to the Father that many in this fellowship have the gift of evangelism, and ask that they will have many opportunities for conversation and sharing. "At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison--that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak" (Colossians 4:3-4 ESV).
(ny-ROH-bee) - Join workers in giving thanks to God that the Baptist Convention of Kenya has a newly formed Missions Department! The workers were able to meet with the Deputy President and Director of Missions and found that they are very excited to partner with the workers. Their 11 regional missions coordinators will be trained at Lead Global's first cross-cultural training in February. The workers write: "This opens the door to strategize with them to get to every region and all of Kenya in the next few years! This also aligns with the strategy of our work among Sub-Saharan African peoples: African churches sending African missionaries to the ends of the earth."
http://www.imb.org/sub-saharan-africa/(moom-BYE) - Testimonies of believers reaching out to their Muslim neighbors, a growing knowledge of the Muslim faith . . . these are just a couple of the benefits that have arisen from a monthly training that is going on. The training is meant to equip local believers in making disciples among their Muslim neighbors and kinsmen. Pray that many people will come to this training, and ask that through the equipping of these believers, many Muslims will come to a saving knowledge of God in Jesus Christ.
(KAH-zahks) - Thank the Lord for an increased awareness and acceptance in Kazakh society of disabled adults and children! Pray that those involved in helping them will know the best ways to help. Intercede for the continued development of programs in Kazakhstan to help disabled people live their lives well. Pray that believers will share the gospel with disabled people as well as with their caregivers and the directors of institutions so they can have hope and salvation.
centralasianpeoples@protonmail.comA volunteer team from Tennessee will be serving in Sigchos, Ecuador, on November 12-19. The team will be assisting the local church with evangelism in the town of Sigchos and the surrounding communities as well as helping with discipleship among the church members. This year, the church in Sigchos planted a new church in one of the surrounding areas. Praise God for His faithfulness! Please pray for both churches and for the volunteer team. Pray for more workers for the harvest, as God's work continues to grow in these areas.
When a missionary first arrives at his or her place of service, some of the most significant local relationships are with the individuals who help with language learning. These Angolans also help with navigating life in a new country and in understanding cultural differences. It's a special blessing when these individuals are followers of Christ. Give thanks to God for Filemon, Marta, Lea, and Oseas, believing Angolans who are working patiently and tirelessly with three new missionary families who have recently arrived in the capital city of Luanda. Pray for fruitful relationships among these missionaries and Angolan partners. Ask that their interactions will demonstrate Christ's love in such a way that all men will know that they are His disciples. "By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13:35 ESV).
