Turks of Istanbul, Turkey

(is-tan-BULL) - Some believers gather weekly to play games and interact with people in the area. There are many young people who come to these game nights, too many for the believers there to invest in all of them. Specifically, there is an abundance of young men coming. Pray for wisdom for the believers to know who to invest in their time in while also seeking to love the many. Pray for more believers to come and join in the efforts to reach young adults in Istanbul for God's name sake.

Pray that there will be unity among believers across Sub-Saharan Africa, holding fast to scriptural truths, though the world around them is full of division and deceit.

Pray for Sanjay, a follower of Jesus who works in a bank. He has very limited sight, but he shares his testimony of faith with blind people. He also helps with food at events for the blind. Pray for Sanjay and others who regularly share news of the Light of the world who can bring them from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light. Pray that many will receive spiritual sight.

"Another round of rioting brought Allen to our doorstep," a worker writes. "He sat down on our couch, defeated by having another month without classes. 'I am losing hope. They are burning my future down along with the city,' he said. Soon, Allen was fast asleep. We are thankful that he could find some refuge in our home, but we mourn with him as we watch the city we love once again erupt into violence. We ask for prayer for all of West Africa, where situations like Allen's are becoming far more common. Pray that the Prince of Peace will come and reign here, and pray that people will find true refuge and hope in Him."

Muhajirs of Pakistan

(mow-HAH-jers) - Jesus told the crowd on the mount, "Seek, and you will find" (Matthew 7:7 ESV). Please pray for Muhajir men and women who began seeking answers to their questions about Jesus this year. Ask that they will be encouraged by the Holy Spirit, be able to connect with a Christian who is able to help them find answers to their questions, get to read the Bible, and, after counting the cost, still choose to follow Jesus. "Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!" (Psalm 34:8 ESV).

Morocco Earthquake

"You haven't forgotten about us!" exclaimed the village leader. Without internet and resources, this village had been feeling forgotten. Some villages are receiving lots of necessary aid while others seem to be overlooked. The High Atlas Mountains are spotted with villages of 50 to 500 people, many of which aren't even on the map. Some are only accessible by donkey or mule. Pray for these seemingly forgotten villages, that aid will reach them. Ask that many in these villages will turn to the Lord who always sees them and has not forgotten them.

(mon-GOHL-yun) - Praise God for two believers who, for 20 days in May, prayer walked zero (no church) counties in Eastern Mongolia and counties where evangelistic (EV) teams would arrive at the end of May. They prayer walked the main city of that aimag (state), prepared 101 gifts to be used for evangelism, practiced English with English teachers and shared their testimony with them, had dinner with a Russian couple and shared the gospel with the English-speaking wife, and taught a young Christian woman some recipes in preparation for a new bakery. They didn't have a translator most of the time, other than online tools, and endured difficult transportation and intense weather, even a snowstorm in the middle of May. But God was honored, and reports came at the end of the month from the EV teams that hearts were softened and that many believed in Jesus. Please pray for effective follow-up of these new believers.

Khmer of Western Cambodia

(kuh-MY) - Many Cambodians wear a red string bracelet as a source of protection against evil spirits and to bring good luck. A Buddhist teacher performs a chant and calls on a guardian spirit/vague universe energy for protection and good fortune, and a red string is tied around the wrist of the recipient. They believe the string absorbs negative energy and can protect the person who wears it. When it wears out and breaks on its own, it is believed to have absorbed all the bad energy it can absorb. But removing it before it falls off on its own is considered to bring bad luck. When a Cambodian places their faith in Christ, they cut off their red string bracelet in response to their sincere surrender to the Lord and their deliverance from the fear of bad luck and the need of some ambiguous spirit's help. Thank you for interceding for Pahnya's great aunt! She has made a decision to follow Christ. It was finalized and confirmed when she decided on her own to cut off her red string bracelet. Please join other believers in giving praise to God for her salvation. Pray that she will grow in her faith and be a testimony for others to come to Jesus as Savior too!

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

(HOE-chee-men) - Liu listened intently to a story that left her intrigued and eager to hear more. She was hearing the story of creation for the very first time. A believer was reading from Genesis about the Creator God and His creation. Liu sat silently as she learned of man's disobedience in the garden and the consequences that were to follow. Sadness and hopelessness appeared on her face yet were quickly erased with the hope of the Seed that would one day come. Since this first meeting, Liu has learned of the sin of mankind and God's redemptive plan of salvation through Jesus Christ. Liu is not the exception. In Vietnam, many people just like her have never heard the good news. Liu received the word with great excitement and joy, but it was only temporary. For when she learned that, if she followed Christ, she could not stay in her job and her parents would not approve, she decided to put aside God's Word that she had once read with joy. Please pray for Liu, and those like her, asking that they would not build up for themselves treasures on earth but rather take up their cross and follow their Lord and Savior.

Displaced Indigenous of Bogota, Colombia

(boh-guh-TAH) - "Felicity, an indigenous woman we met at a medical shelter, recently returned to her home village and went to church," writes the Indigenous Team Bogota. "She shared that she had given her life to Christ and wanted to be baptized. Join us in giving thanks to God for our Colombian teammates who faithfully shared the gospel with Felicity each week! God is moving in the medical shelter ministry, and more churches are getting involved. Pray that this ministry will expand to multiple shelters around Bogota. Ask God to open the hearts of the indigenous people who are staying in the shelters, and pray that many will repent and turn to faith in Jesus."

Arab Tribes of Northern Africa

Thank you for praying for the family of believers who explored a distant tribal area with "kingdom eyes." Rejoice and give thanks to God that the whole gospel story was shared in a home and the response was, "This is amazing! More people need to hear this. I must tell my friend!" As God said in Isaiah 55:11 (ESV): "So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it."
