Give thanks to God for the theological education conference that was held in February in the capital city of Luanda! Pray that churches throughout the country will seek to work closely with seminaries in order to provide their members instruction in sound doctrine and biblical guidance for living. Intercede for pastors who are facing the challenges of countering cultural issues and prosperity teachings that can lead followers of Jesus astray. Pray that followers of Christ will allow God’s Word to be “living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow . . . able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12 CSB) in their individual lives.
