“And the scribes of the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, ‘Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?’ And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, ‘Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners'” (Mark 2:16-17 ESV). Pray that the Arabs in Flowertown will see their need for a Savior and realize that there is no way they can become righteous except through Christ alone. The majority may acknowledge that they do not always do right, but they believe that if they do enough of the right things, then they can stand righteous before God on their own and enter into Paradise. Pray that they will recognize their sin and their separation from God, understand that God is a holy God and cannot be in the presence of the unholy, and realize that Christ came and died so that they may become holy and righteous not from their works, but from His.
