Over the past several months, the ability to travel to and from the Ark homeland has increased for elderly Ark parents. Some families are being reunited after more than 10 years of separation. Grandparents are visiting their grandchildren for the first time. Husbands are able to introduce their parents to their wives for the first time. What times of joy are taking place! Praise God! These visits usually last one to three months in countries where refugees have resettled. This gives these families many opportunities to have spiritual conversations. Ezekiel 36:26 (ESV) says: “And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” Ask God to soften the hearts of these elderly parents. Pray for refugee adult children who are believers to have wisdom as they lovingly start spiritual conversations and share the gospel. Pray that families will read the Bible together and have conversations about what the Scriptures say. As these elderly Ark people begin a relationship with Christ, pray that when they return home, they will share what they’ve learned with their neighbors and friends.
