Holy Week is a busy time in Cebu, Philippines. Many people believe the superstition that on Good Friday at 3 p.m., Jesus Christ is actually dead. They think if something were to happen to them during that time, they would have no hope. On Good Friday and Black Saturday, businesses are closed, and people emphasize the death of Christ more than His resurrection. On Easter Sunday, the city is back to business as usual. Join us in praying that the people of Cebu will understand that Christ did not stay in the grave, but that He was resurrected, and through His death and sacrifice, we have a way to eternal life with Him.
