The Tusu love to participate in festivals because they provide opportunities to relax and forget about the hardships of life. Festivals are a time to reconnect with family and friends, eat, dance, and even do business. Many Tusu observe a ceremonial washing, which they believe cleanses them of the past year’s sins. They long to be freed from their sins, so they continue in their traditions. Who will go and tell them that Jesus has already paid the price for their sins? Praise God for some Tusu Christians who are sharing the gospel with others, using an evangelism tool developed in their language. Pray the good news will travel throughout Tusu villages and that many will turn to Jesus and be saved.
