Several Good Fridays ago, Omar, who is a refugee from the region of northern Africa and the Middle East, had a dream about Jesus being crucified and risen from the dead, two historic events that Muslims categorically deny. Several days later, he asked a believing friend of the family what the dream meant. (He didn’t want to disclose the dream to any of his family members even though he knew that several of them already follow Jesus.) The believer shared the gospel with Omar at that time. Recently, Omar professed faith in Jesus, believing that He is Lord, that He died for our sins, and that God raised Him from the dead. Pray that Omar will own his faith by sharing it with his family members–particularly his wife–and with his friends. Pray that he will be willing to meet with his believing brother for mutual discipleship, encouragement, and exhortation.
