Thank you for continuing to pray for Omar, a new follower of Christ who has been disowned by his family because of his faith and faithful witness. Upon moving into an apartment alone while looking for employment, he was asked by a neighbor, a female college student from a war-torn country, what a young local man was doing living on his own — something very uncommon in his culture. He replied by sharing his story of how his mother had kicked him out of the house for his faith. Omar and his friend Bassel then began sharing and studying the Word with Zahra over the next several weeks. Zahra has since professed faith in Jesus and has been baptized! Pray that Zahra will grow in her faith both privately and as she gathers with these two brothers in the faith. Ask that she will be introduced to other local women who also follow Jesus. Just as both Omar and Bassel have been faithful in their witness, pray that Zahra, too, will be active in proclaiming her newfound faith.
