(BANG-kok) – Pastor Win at Glory Baptist Church has been planning ways for the church to be a light to their community. This church has prayed they would be a center that meets the needs of the people in their community, and in doing so, would open opportunities to share the gospel and provide for their spiritual needs as well. The church has developed three ways they want to reach out on a regular basis; the first is teaching English through the Bible. Two English teachers in their church want to use their teaching abilities to share the gospel. The second outreach is legal advice. A few lawyers in their church want to use their skills to help bring reconciliation to the community, and the government recently recognized their church as the official place in their community to do this. The last initiative is to provide an exercise facility. Behind their church building, they own land that they want to clear, pour concrete, and use to open a space for their community to come do aerobics and fitness. “We get the joy of coming alongside them in this work and are grateful to the Lord for our national partners taking the initiative in this task,” Baptist representatives said. “Please lift up these goals along with us and pray that the Lord would continue to fuel the flame in their hearts to see the people of their community and Thailand reached.”
