Thank you for praying for Bangladesh’s elections over the past several months. Several people have said that this was the most peaceful election in over 20 years, no doubt helped by the police and army presence at polling sites. The more moderate party won 70% of the available Parliament seats, and watchers are hopeful that this will lead to fairer treatment of all Bangladeshis, including women, minority groups, and people of other faiths. Please continue to intercede for the country’s trajectory as this new government takes shape and forms policy decisions that will affect people all over the world, whether they be Bangladeshis or foreigners who wish to serve and bless Bangladesh.
