An important issue on the minds of many Bangladeshis are the upcoming elections in February. Having been ruled by a temporary government since August 2024, most people agree that it’s time for a more settled government. In the weeks leading up to the election, many fear the potential of unrest, demonstrations, corruption, coercion, and violence. Pray that those who are fearful will cast all their anxieties on the Lord, because He cares for them (1 Peter 5:7). Many are spiritually blinded due to their faith in an impersonal god, so please ask that their eyes will be opened to the One who created all things and is Lord over all. Pray that peace will emerge from chaos and that Bangladesh will be transformed into a nation that worships Jesus as Lord and Savior.
