Bedouin of Libya

(BED-oo-in) – Known for their ability to survive in harsh climates, the Bedouin are a rugged people. The desert landscape and climate and living conditions make daily living a chore, but it is what they know and what is familiar to them. Not only must they survive a harsh climate and terrain, but other conditions further complicate their lives. They are a minority people who live among those who mostly look and talk like them but have some cultural differences that cause others to look down on them. Living predominately outside the larger cities, Bedouins do not encounter much diversity of ideas. Their narrow interaction with the outside is restricted to others who follow the same belief system they do. Please pray that the Bedouin will encounter truth and that their ability to endure harsh living conditions will serve them well as they endure persecution not for being a minority people, but for being Christ followers.
