(ben-GAH-lee) – Recent changes are affecting many businesses that are not owned by Hindus. Many Muslims’ slaughterhouses that sold beef or restaurants that served beef have had to close. This economic hardship and even religious suffering may make Muslims more open to the gospel. Pray that Pastor Timothy’s network of churches made up of former Muslims will share the gospel with as many Muslims as possible, and pray for Irene, a local harvest worker, to equip many other fellowships to do the same. May these fellowships grow in giving and start to meet together regularly for the corporate reading of Scripture. Intercede for local churches to overcome the bitterness and helplessness caused by the changes and subsequent persecution to turn their eyes towards the field of Muslims that are “white for harvest” (John 4:35 ESV) and to rely on the Spirit’s power to work within them. Pray for Muslims to turn their attention to Jesus, the King whose just and righteous reign never ends. Pray for “the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest” (Luke 10:2 ESV). The harvest is ready!
