Bhama of Myanmar

(BAH-mah) – Christmas parties have wound down. The trees and lights are put away for next year. Gifts have been given and opened. Fun and food have been shared among friends and strangers. The Christmas season has come to a close for 2024, but ministry has been kickstarted for the new year. In the Burmese cultural context, December is a great time to share the good news of Jesus through Christmas celebrations. However, this is only the start of the work. Those who have heard the gospel for the first time now need someone to follow up with them about the things they have heard. During January, believers will take the next steps on this journey with many nonbelievers who have been introduced to the God of the universe. Please pray that all of those who heard the good news in December will have their eyes opened to their sin and their need for a Savior. Ask that believers will have wisdom and understanding during these conversations. Pray that many will call out to the Lord, asking Him to grow His Church in Myanmar. Also, pray that new believers will be strengthened and have endurance in the face of persecution.
