(BOO-kuh-rest) – “One of our teammates was at a church in the United States, sharing about her ministry overseas, and the pastor mentioned to those gathered that the church would take up a ‘love offering’ for the work in this region. While our teammate was visiting with people afterward, a beautiful 12-year-old girl came up and handed her a drawing that she had made, complete with John 3:16, a cross, the tomb, and the nativity. The girl then gave her a big hug, remembering how our teammate had talked about teaching women attending our women’s conferences to give someone a hug. Moments later, another beautiful little girl, maybe 6 years old or so, walked up and handed our teammate a nickel and three pennies as a ‘love offering’ — along with another really big hug. Since then, our teammate has carried the joy and wonder of those moments. These young ones will come to mind frequently in the days and months to come.
