Cape Town, South Africa

(KAYP town) – Give thanks to God for the art contest held by missionaries Charles and Dohee Kim. The Kims work in a township on the far-eastern border of the Greater Cape Town metropolitan area. They use music and art to reach the community. The art contest was for the students at Khanyolwethu High School. Dohee said, “This contest is a special part of our ministry; it encourages and nurtures the gifts of talented young artists in the community and acts as a door to invite more students to our Sunday student church.” The contest occurred in October, and the winners received a reward. Everything flowed smoothly, and the event blessed hearts. Thank God for the wonderful turnout for the contest and the way that the community supported the students. Ask the Father to continue working in the hearts of the people of that township community so that they will ask for more information about the gospel and how to become a Christian. Pray for the unsaved students who attend student church to profess faith in Jesus and receive salvation. “Brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved” (Romans 10:1 ESV).
