(KAYP town) – Missionaries Charles and Dohee Kim, serving in Cape Town, South Africa, are conducting a six-month “Gratitude Journal” writing pilot project for students from three high schools in the Nomzamo township in Strand, a suburb of Cape Town where 60,000 Xhosa (pronounced KOH-sah) people live. Through this pilot project, Charles and Dohee are praying that hopes and dreams will arise in these students and they will desire to meet God. Please pray that God will pour out His Spirit on these people. Ask Him to move around Nomzamo so that the residents will see God act, hear His voice calling them, and then believe in Jesus and be saved. Luke wrote of this happening in Jerusalem when Peter preached: “And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams” (Acts 2:17 ESV). Please pray for the people of Nomzamo to hear the gospel in a way they will understand because of the Holy Spirit speaking to and calling them.
