Central Asian Unengaged Peoples

The Eastern Baloch live in a harsh, barren climate in a land consisting of rocky mountains and deserts. They farm and practice seminomadic shepherding of sheep, cattle, goats, or camels. They also make carpets and embroidery. The Eastern Baloch live by a code of honor that prizes hospitality to strangers as well as mercy and honesty in relationships. This code is preserved through songs and oral poetry. Until recently, the Eastern Balochi language was unwritten, and the literacy rate is still low. There are some gospel resources in their language but no known churches among the Eastern Baloch. Pray that God will move mightily among the Eastern Baloch and extend hope to them through His salvation. Ask Lord to provide a gospel witness among the Eastern Baloch. Finally, pray that they will hear the gospel from local believers.
