“We helped host an outreach event during Chinese New Year aimed at Chinese university students, followed by an evangelistic training session for Christian Union (CU) students one week later. Around 70 students participated in the evangelistic event, which featured a quiz on Chinese New Year, rhythmic storytelling using bamboo clappers, delicious food, and personal testimonies shared by two CU Chinese students. Each student received a gift bag containing a gospel tract. For many, this was their first encounter with the gospel. We pray that God will use the meaningful conversations, tracts and testimonies to encourage these students to explore and learn more. At the evangelistic training session for CU students, we focused on effective outreach to Chinese students on their campus. The session covered how to share their faith while considering different worldviews, as well as tools for meaningful engagement. We also discussed the background and key principles relevant to the Chinese culture, helping CU students better understand the mindset and challenges Chinese students face. May God give the CU students boldness to build relationships and share their faith and open doors for us and our partners to cooperate further with Christian Union.”
