“While visiting Chinese businesses in a town two hours away from Madrid, we entered a store where one of the employees, a woman who had previously attended a Bible study, simply kicked us out of her store! We were all very puzzled about it, so we left praying for her. Several weeks later, the husband of this woman called a believer who lives in that city and said, ‘I want to believe in Jesus. Do you have a Bible and a hymn book?’ So, the believer provided him with a Chinese Bible and hymn book. A year later, the husband and wife were baptized together, and today there is a church plant in that city! They have started a Sunday school with five children, three of whom speak mostly Chinese and two who speak only Spanish. Join us in thanking the Lord for this fledgling church. Pray to the Lord, asking Him to call and appoint a pastor for this church and for bilingual (Spanish and Mandarin-speaking) Sunday school teachers.”
