Halima began working as a house helper at a young age because she never finished school. One of the first people that she worked for shared the gospel with her. After years of working for this woman, Halima finally believed in Jesus. She quickly got connected to a local church but was hurt by others in the body. She fell away from the local church, and bitterness in her heart grew for the other local believers. In her culture, when you’ve been hurt by someone, the norm is to write that person off for life and not communicate with them or interact with them ever again. This is what Halima did. Now, she isn’t meeting consistently with other believers or reading the Word. Pray for her to grow in her understanding of forgiveness and to realize the importance of community, fellowship, the Word, and prayer. Pray for her to be bold and share with those around her, especially her daughter.
