Conakry, Guinea

(KON-ah-kree) – Workers in Conakry thank God for the neighborhood congregation that continues to meet and grow. They thank God for the men, women, youth, and children who come each week and hear sound teaching from God’s Word. They thank God for leaders within the congregation who are helping lead the youth, women, and children. But after two years, there is still not a local pastor who has been identified as one called to lead this congregation, one who has the biblical qualifications of pastor. Would you join them in prayer, asking that God will raise up a qualified pastor who desires to shepherd this congregation? In conjunction with this, would you also pray for the two-year pastoral training program that is held in Conakry once a quarter, for the pastors and leaders who attend, as well as for the visitors from the United States who come to train these leaders? Would you pray that these leaders will be equipped to lead well as pastors and will be faithful to put into practice what they are learning? Specifically, would you pray for the next training, which will happen this month?
