Sarah was raised to believe that anyone of a different faith than hers was unclean, not to be associated with, and that it would even honor God to kill those infidels. She heard this message first from her father, who would beat her regularly, and later from her husband, who treated her in the same way. Her husband died several years ago, after which time she left her city. When she moved to “Crossroads City,” she had her first interactions with believers, and they have treated her with love and kindness. Sarah is fed up with feeling strangled by her religion and is looking for another way. She recently heard the gospel but is unsure about following Jesus, as she anticipates intense persecution from her family. She is counting the cost and has yet to make a decision. Pray that Sarah will fear God and not man. Pray that Sarah’s family will hear and believe the gospel even though their hearts seem so hard now. Ask the Holy Spirit to do a mighty work among Crossroads Arabs and make Jesus’ name known and praised among this people.
