Crossroads Arabs of the Middle East

Bashar fled fighting in his home country and sought refuge in a small mountain village near “Crossroads City.” One evening, he was working alone at a restaurant when a believer entered. Normally, the restaurant was full, but that evening, it was completely empty, providing ample time to converse. As he ate, the believer began asking Bashar questions about his life and beliefs. Bashar said that he loved philosophy and loved to read. The believer shared the gospel with Bashar and encouraged him to read the Bible. A few years later, Bashar moved to “Crossroads City” and met again with the believer who had shared the gospel with him. As they drank tea together, Bashar said that he had been reading some of the Bible and had also visited a local church to learn more. He desired to know more about Jesus and Christianity but had not yet placed his faith in Christ. Pray that Bashar will understand and believe the gospel and share this good news with his family, friends, and co-workers. Pray that believers in “Crossroads City” will be faithful to share the good news and shine the light of Christ brightly to those around them.
