Dakar, Senegal

(dah-KAR) – “The buildings at the Baptist Center in the capital city of Dakar are used for many ministries, including English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, Kids Club, a pastors’ library, medical clinics for visiting teams of doctors and nurses, and meetings and outreach events hosted by the Baptist association, our workers, and other evangelical churches in the city. But time has taken its toll. Part of the center, the guest house area where volunteer teams have often stayed, has recently been condemned, and it’s now scheduled for demolition. The main part of the center, where there are six classrooms and a large kitchen, has a leaky roof. A roof replacement project is currently underway, but more resources are needed. Please ask the Lord to provide all that is needed for this project. In Paul’s letter to Timothy, he implored Timothy ‘to come before winter’ (2 Timothy 4:21 ESV). Join us in praying that this project will be completed before the rainy season begins, which is in July.”
