(dah-KAR) – “After three years of work to establish a new center for learning in this region, we are finally ready to begin!” workers write. “It has been a long trail with many trials, and probably many more trials lie ahead. But, praise the Lord, we have a place to teach English! We use an English as a Second Language (ESL) curriculum published by an excellent source and also teach Bible stories using both French and English translations. (French is the official language of Senegal.) We offer a conversation club where students can come and practice speaking and discuss what they have heard in a nonthreatening environment. Please pray that God will bring those students in whose hearts He is already at work and who will not only learn English well, but also listen attentively to the stories from the Bible. Pray for many to decide to follow Jesus.”
