Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

(dar es sah-LAHM) – “But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who on coming to Antioch spoke to the Hellenists also, preaching the Lord Jesus. And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed turned to the Lord” (Acts 11:20-21 ESV). “Our Dar Urban Team is rejoicing in how the Lord’s hand has extended His work both in the city and beyond! Local Baptist pastors in the Kibaha district, just outside of Dar es Salaam, have started new and growing outreach groups. Join us in thanking God for how the Lord’s hand has brought a new African missionary, along with a local pastor, to serve among the Zigua (pronounced zee-GOO-ah) people living in a refugee camp. This pastor says, ‘I visited the refugee camp, and now I need to cast a vision for my church and mobilize them to be on mission. We are going to adopt that missionary.’ Pray for our team as we continue to come alongside pastors and leaders, casting visions so that they, too, may see the Lord’s hand at work.”
