(deh-KAH-nee) – Over the past few years, Mr. and Mrs. Soheil, a local Christian couple, have been sharing Jesus with Muslims in their community. At first, Mrs. Soheil was very hesitant and fearful, but they continued to trust God and received encouragement and direction from several other couples in their church. Mr. and Mrs. Soheil learned how to offer sincere love and care for Muslims in culturally appropriate ways — ways that were different than their own. Over time, they have been able to build meaningful relationships in which gospel conversations are happening. Mrs. Soheil recently said that earlier, she was full of fear due to her own expectations and cultural differences, but now, because of what Jesus has been showing them through Scripture and empowering them by the Holy Spirit to obey, she confidently interacts with Muslims! God is at work in and through His Church. Pray for many more brothers and sisters in Christ to learn to do the same as this couple has been doing!
