Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with an estimated 17-18 million people, is the most populous city in Africa. There is currently one International Mission Board couple serving in this massive city, with one more expected to join them early next year. Please ask the Lord to call more laborers to serve in this very large harvest field. “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest'” (Matthew 9:36-38 ESV).
