Please pray against the heresy of the prosperity gospel that is running rampant in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as it is in all Sub-Saharan Africa. The heresy that what God wants above all is for you to be healthy and wealthy is being preached from pulpits across all denominations. People who are desperately sick and desperately poor cling to these false promises and are missing out on the eternal hope that is found only in a relationship with Christ Jesus. Pray for those who are preaching this false gospel, asking that they will be convicted by the Holy Spirit. Petition for encouragement and endurance for those who are preaching the true gospel. Pray that those who want to understand truth will have discerning minds.
