(DOH-gruh) – Samba is an administrative district and shares a partial border with Pakistan. It is historically known for 22 markets or towns and a famous fort established by a ruler in the 19th century. Annually, a large, eight-day fair is held in which a certain deity is taken around in a procession by chariot and stalls are set up for people to buy handicrafts. Pray for pathways for the gospel to spread throughout the Samba district and replace the procession of other deities among the Dogra people.
