East Asian Diaspora of Rome, Italy

Rome, “The Eternal City,” is home to over two million people, the majority of whom are Roman Catholics. A significant number of those residing in Rome are foreigners. Rome is the heart of Catholicism with beautiful churches on nearly every corner. With nearly 20,000 East Asian citizens living in Rome (and tens of thousands of tourists every year), one might think it would be common for East Asians to know or hear the gospel. And yet, the city is bereft of the gospel. Biblical imagery is on every corner, but the heart of the gospel is elusive. East Asians are not always welcomed into the culture, and it is even less common to see them integrated into churches. But through the darkness of the city, the existing East Asian evangelical churches are seeking to make the gospel known, both to East Asian sojourners as well as the native Italians. Please pray for the salvation of the East Asian diaspora of Rome.pray4APAC@imb.org
