The Emerald People view God as someone who is far off and who cannot truly be known. They try to earn their way to Him by praying, fasting, and doing good things. Since the Emerald People are Muslim, they do not celebrate Christmas, but many of them interact with people who do. It is hard for them to imagine God loving them enough to take on flesh, become human like them, and eventually die for their sins. Please pray this Christmas season that God will orchestrate “divine appointments” between Emerald People and followers of Jesus. Ask that believers will be able to use the holiday as a bridge to sharing the gospel, and pray that many Emerald People will hear and understand that Jesus loves them.
