(EH-kwuh TOR-ee-ul GIH-nee) – May 1 is Labor Day in many countries, including Equatorial Guinea. Also known as International Workers’ Day, the holiday focuses on the contributions of laborers to the culture and economy of their respective countries. As followers of Jesus celebrate the day, pray that they will be mindful of Paul’s admonition regarding work: “Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people” (Colossians 3:23 CSB).
