Throughout the world, Finland is famous for being among the happiest countries, with a society built on strong social safety nets, institutional trust, and a deep connection to nature. Beneath that reputation, however, lies a country in transition, as these social safety nets — including the Lutheran national church — are deteriorating slowly from within. Finns are known for their quietness and resilience, yet they desperately need the salvation found in Christ alone and not in any governmental program or the pleasures of nature, saunas, and physical safety. As the idols of Finland crumble, church leaders need to proclaim the gospel and train others to share the good news of Christ through rigorous theological study and service to their communities, all to the glory of God. Please pray for the salvation of the Finns of Finland.
