Global Missionary Partners of the Americas

“On the edge of a winding mountain road in the mining region of the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, sits a little town with a small Baptist congregation. Pastor Taylor and his wife have been leading this group for eight years. As we arrive for the evening service, we are greeted warmly by church members bundled in their warmest coats and are offered hot teas and ‘queimadinha’ (a delicious drink of ‘burnt’ sugar, milk, and cinnamon). They sing traditional hymns and contemporary Christian songs and have a ‘missionary moment’ to collect an offering for state missionaries. It is evident that they love the Lord and love their community. Please pray for this small congregation as they seek to reach their neighbors with the good news of Jesus Christ. Pray for encouragement, health, and strength for the pastor and his wife and other church leaders. And pray that the Lord will draw others to Himself through their faithful testimony.”
