Chefri is a young man who dreams of being a professional athlete. He has set his goals high, and they give him hope — something to work toward. At the same time, he struggles with both physical and mental health issues. He recently expressed that very few of his friends seem to care or listen. They only want what he can offer them: coveted access to an area where they can play sports. A believer has reached out to him. Pray for connection and true friendship to develop between Chefri and the believer. Ask the Lord to give him deeper hope than he can find in being an athlete. Pray that Jesus will manifest His healing power toward Chefri’s illnesses and that this will ultimately lead him to a saving relationship with Christ. “‘The LORD is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I will hope in him.’ The LORD is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him” (Lamentations 3:24-25 ESV).
