Hanoi, Vietnam

(hah-NOY) – Pray for the northern Vietnamese in the month of February after having celebrated the Lunar New Year on January 29. As the New Year holiday is the biggest and most important holiday culturally to the Vietnamese people, many will still be in their hometowns with their families, extended families, as well as old friends and neighbors throughout much of February. Pray for people like Huyen, a young Christian wife and mother of two, who will be spending time with her non-Christian family. Pray for people like Thuong, a woman who seems to want to follow Jesus but knows her husband’s family will treat her even more badly if she does. Pray for people like Quyen, a young pastor of a small church who will worry about his flock in the city while spending time away in his hometown. Pray the will Lord draw the Vietnamese toward Himself amid the challenges faced this holiday.
