Last month, a group of believing women from a Muslim background gathered for a time of discipleship training. They learned how to study the Bible and teach others through hearing and retelling the stories of the Old Testament. They started with the story of creation and the fall of mankind, continued through Noah, Abraham, Joseph, and Moses, and then finished by learning how all those stories point to Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross. Many of the women commented, “We have never learned about the Old Testament in this way. Before, it was so confusing, but now we understand it and can teach it to others!” These women came from four different villages. Pray for them as they share what they have learned with their families and friends. Pray that they will continue to abide deeply in God’s Word, thirst to learn more, and be fruitful. Ask the Father to give them boldness to share the gospel with unbelievers through these Old Testament stories, and pray that new groups of believers will begin meeting in each of those four villages.
