Last year, you were asked to pray for a girls’ dormitory that was starting in a rural town in the Horn of Africa. Several of the first group of girls in the dormitory accepted Christ! Now, a second group of girls have started school and are living in the dormitory with them. One of the girls from the first class said, “My dorm parents loved me so deeply that it lowered the veil covering my spiritual eyes. I was able to see God’s love for me through Jesus. Without this opportunity to learn and live in this dormitory, I would still be lost.” Pray for the young women who have believed, asking that they will continue to grow and become strong in their faith. They long to share the good news of Jesus with their families, but it could mean being rejected and cast away from their families. Also pray for the new students. Ask that the spiritual veil over their eyes will also be removed as they experience the love of the gospel from their dorm parents and the believing students living with them.
