Hindu Peoples of Nepal

From the snowy Himalayan region to the fertile plains of the lowlands and the central hills in between, Hindu peoples are found throughout Nepal. While some live in remote villages, many people gravitate to river and stream areas that enable rice cultivation and are warm enough for farming grain and potatoes. There is also a heavy reliance on animal husbandry. Food deficits and financial needs drive emigration as people move in search of employment, especially to the increasingly urbanized Kathmandu and Pokhara valleys. There are six unengaged, unreached people groups within the Nepali Hindus. Please pray for the salvation of the Hindu peoples of Nepal.
