Hiroshima, Japan

(hir-un-SHE-muh) – Sash has been actively advocating for peace since he was seven years old, when his mom first took him to the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. This year, he was chosen to deliver the Pledge for Peace and the speech for the 80th year memorial of the atomic bombing. Twice each month, he offers free tours for visitors in English at the Peace Memorial Park, near the museum. God has a plan for Sash. One day he met volunteers from Tennessee and missionaries as they were there praying. They engaged in a conversation with him about peace. With a permission from Sash’s mom, the workers gave Sash a Bible that also contained testimonies of Japan’s famous athletes. Pray for Sash and Japanese like him, who seek peace and have been actively advocating for peace in Hiroshima, to hear the gospel, read the Bible, and come to call on Jesus – the Prince of Peace – the only one who can provide true peace. Pray that they all will advocate for faith in Jesus Christ!
