(HOE-chee-men) – “The people keep coming, but no one is believing. A small house church consistently ministers to the community. Friendships are being made, the gospel is proclaimed and Bible teaching is shared; but faith comes slowly. This group is not alone in their struggle to share the goodness of God in Jesus Christ. Many churches and groups throughout the city strive to be the light of Jesus, and that light shines in the darkness. Pray for their encouragement, love for one another, and the strengthening of the church community. Pray that God would work in their lives by reminding them of His faithfulness, filling them with His peace, and providing opportunities to boldly share their faith in Him. Even though many have heard the gospel, few are eager to follow Jesus. Please lift up the churches in this city to not grow discouraged but to trust in God’s timing. Pray for those attending outreach events to consider the gospel and repent.”
